As the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for a ServiceNow Business Analyst to work in a highly experienced ServiceNow Engineering Team on a contract basis starting ASAP to support a crucial IT modernisation program.
This is a rolling 12 month contract running with option to extend up to five years starting by August.
The successful candidate will join the ServiceNow Engineering team and work in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment where their contribution will have an impact on the organisation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record liaising with end users, collecting their high-level business requirements and transforming them into user stories, using concepts like mocking, and clarifying/discussing requirements to developers.
As the ServiceNow Business Analyst you would transform end-user requirements to technical requirements for ServiceNow Developers. Your responsibilities include the following:
• Analyse business requirements, extract technology needs and translate them into workable user stories.
• Proactively assist with requirements clarification across the entire backlog.
• Deliver user stories based on end-user requirements to the development team.
• Participate in the high-level design discussions when required.
• Maintain and enhance process and feature documentation.
• Participate in team’s agile rituals.
• Provide relevant information to team lead and line manager.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
• 5-10 years' experience as a Business Analyst
• Excellent technical knowledge of the ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Strong requirements gathering skills, with experience in drafting user stories, documents, and presentations.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to challenge requirements and provide alternatives when appropriate
• Fluency in English
Nice to have:
• Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent experience desirable
• Experience with at least three ServiceNow modules, especially ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, SecOps, and CSM
• Proficient in data mining and excel.
• Good understanding of agile methodologies
• Certification in Business Analysis is an advantage
Please note interviews would be conducted via video call, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. Our client offers:
• The opportunity to work in a diverse and international environment on a long-term basis
• 50% working from home
• 20 days working remotely from abroad per year
• Modern office in central Basel (50 minutes direct train from Zurich) with subsidised canteen
